| The photograph above is one of my favorites. It illustrates a few of the many facets of my musical life here in south-central Tennessee. The photograph is from a 2004 Tennessee Williams Center production of Guys and Dolls. I am singing Arvide Abernathy's song, "More I Cannot Wish You" to Sarah, played by Taylor Cornell, a fine young soprano who studied with me for four years. In this production I wore a great many hats: singing actor, voice teacher (eight students from my studio were in the production), voice and dialect coach and manager of the orchestra. My duties with the orchestra included reducing and re-arranging the orchestration to fit our instrumentation. It was a wonderful production, one of which I was very proud. |
